Description |
It was Domitian, last of the Flavian dynasty, who
built the magnificent imperial residence on the
Palatine hill in Rome. The splendor of this
building survives in the word “palace”, which
suggests surroundings of opulence and luxury.
In this radiant pendant, the proud image of
Domitian is once again enclosed by richness and
beauty. To wear this ancient token today is to
evoke the glory of Rome at its height.
